i've cleaned out the school room (and cleaned and cleaned), patched the holes in the walls, and started masking. i'll start with painting the ceiling and then move on from there. want to guess the wall color the wee one chose? here's a hint: it's the color of a fruit.
here are a couple of photos. I'll have more on my facebook page for anyone who wants to go there to see them.

Looks like progress!
very slow progress :-( even with Keith taking Ruby in to camp twice, I've gotten so little done. Looks like it will be 2 weeks instead of 1. but that will be okay.
I'm looking forward to seeing the end result :-)
thanks lyn. now i'm thinking of making roman shades after the rest is done. why did i think of that? now that i am thinking of it, i can't get it out of my mind. just shoot me. i really don't enjoy making shades. but they would look so cute, and make the room seem a little larger, which it desperately needs. sigh.
Seeing this reminds me of the many long trips I have taken only to arrive home after several weeks and find that my wife had completely redone a room in our house. It always looked nice but it was always a surprise. Indeed, I am on one of those long trips now.....hmmm?
Your house looks warm and welcoming, bright and airy.
traveller- I wonder what you'll find when you get home?!
Wait til you see the final pics when the school room is finished. You'll really think it's bright then!
Is it lime?
sue, you win!! i'll have pictures to post today or tomorrow :-) and not a week too soon!
